With three matches left to be raced by each team, the tension is heating up at the ISS Mumbai International Match Race `09. Today, India’s top seeded sailor, Commander Mahesh proved his and his team’s mettle on the water after winning 8 straight matches of the 8 matches raced. Following close on their heels is Nitin Mongia’s team, who, yesterday had a dramatic win dispite a gash in his boat after the opposition rammed into him....

Filled with surprise endings world seeded 72, Farokh Tarapore’s team defeated world seeded 40, Cdr R. Mahesh’s team in the final round of the ISS Mumbai International Match Race `09 Qualifiers. With 6 wins in hand for the day, Tarapore sailed passed the latter team to clinch the Gold medal at the qualifier for the MIMR which is an International Sailing federation grade 3 event...
