Approaching the gybe mark three boats are overlapped as shown in figure below. Who has right of way? And in the event of a collision, who all need to do the penalty. If Boat C touches the mark, does it have to do a penalty? All three boats were overlapped and proceeded into the critical circle with the same overlap as shown in figure. A was overlapped by B, as it moved into the circle, while C overlapped B as it moved into the circle.
